Solo Exhibitions in 2007
3 March - 15 April 2007 The art exhibition in York Minster, funded by the Arts Council England. The exhibition presents large icons and paintings of Divine Mother in Christianity. The event will aim to present the art of symbolism which is eternal in nature. The love of Divine Mother shines unconditionally to all people, and there is no place for sectarianism in her arms. For more information, please see the exhibition brochure . Open to all visitors of York Minster during that period.
10 September - 10 October 2007 The art exhibition in Lincoln Cathedral presents a large icon of St Hugh, one of the early Bishops of Lincoln Cathedral, among other paintings. St Hugh's life was pivotal to the history of Lincoln Cathedral. In his lifetime, he was known as pious man who tended to the sick and worked on rebuilding the cathedral. One famous story recounts how he befriended a swan which became very protective of the Bishop. The swan's place in the legend of the cathedral is assured, for it is depicted twice in the cathedral's stained glass windows. On St Hugh's death, large crowds came to pay their respects and his shrine became a place of pilgrimage. (From BBC History)
5 November - 4 December 2007 The art exhibition in Sheffield Cathedral presents a selection of large icons depicting saints and deities from Christian traditions. Icons depict devoted spiritual individuals of the past who have marked the path for other human beings by living the Word.
The artist is especially thankful to the Chapter of York Minster, Chapter of Lincoln Cathedral and Rev. Canon Dr. Paul Shackerley of Sheffield Cathedral for their kind consent to hold the exhibitions in these three holy places.
